Redeveloped A+ office for Siemens on the Dutch Tech Campus

Zoetermeer, October 4, 2021. Siemens has now officially moved within the Dutch Innovation Park to the Werner von Siemensstraat 5 of the Dutch Tech Campus. In recent months, this office has been redeveloped by PingProperties and BAM Bouw en Techniek into a future-proof office building with climate comfort class B and energy label A+.

Today, the modern and sustainable building of approximately 6,000 m² was officially opened by Mayor Bezuijen in front of all employees. “I am delighted that our city can still play the role of host to such a beautiful, modern and progressive multinational as Siemens is – here on the Dutch Tech Campus, where high tech is the operating base for parties with a view to the future.” Economics alderman Jan Iedema was also present at the opening. “Siemens has been closely associated with the Dutch Tech Campus for years. The location in Zoetermeer not only offers employment. With their progressive approach, they make an important contribution to making the campus and the entire Dutch Innovation Park more sustainable.”

Energy label A+
The opening was also the first office day for Siemens in the sustainable building, whose renewed installation technology also includes Siemens components. Energy is obtained through heat pumps and solar panels. Nick van Vliet, (Re) Development Manager at PingProperties: “This sustainability improvement is an important milestone in the development of the campus.”

Siemens, which has been located in the Dutch Innovation Park for many years, is also investing in the building itself: they are realizing a new installation package in which sustainability and flexibility play an important role. By 2030, Siemens aims to be carbon neutral worldwide. Olivier Gueydan, CEO Siemens Mobility: “This ultra-modern office is a great example of how we are making our Siemens Mobility location future-oriented, also in terms of accessibility. And since September 1, Yunex Traffic has been an independent part of Siemens, we are happy and proud that we can share this beautiful location together.”
