Zoetermeer IT city

With 125.000 residents, Zoetermeer is – after Rotterdam and the Hague – the third-largest city of the province Zuid-Holland. Zoetermeer is referred to as “IT City” for a reason; with more than 3.500 IT jobs, Zoetermeer has the highest percentage of IT employment in the Haaglanden region. 1 in 14 jobs in Zoetermeer is an IT job. As such, the supply of highly skilled IT professionals is huge.

Relaxed residential city

There’s one thing Zoetermeer residents agree about: “This modern city is a pleasant place to live.” Visitors from the whole region come to shop in the City Centre with international chain stores and plenty of restaurants and cafes. Dorpsstraat, the historic shopping street, draws its customers with various specialty shops. The city has many leisure and sports facilities. In Zoetermeer, you’re living in a modern, green city in the middle of the Randstad, next to cities like the Hague and Rotterdam.
