Components

The sum of its parts makes Dutch Innovation Park; an ecosystem of IT start-ups, students and IT companies aimed at applied IT innovation. These trendsetters work or study in the Dutch Innovation Factory, the Dutch Tech Campus or one of the other buildings at the Dutch Innovation Park. All with the same goal: making peoples’ lives safer, healthier and more pleasant.

The Dutch Innovation Factory is the clubhouse of the IT community of Zoetermeer and its surroundings. IT companies, Crosspring incubator, the Rijnland college with third-year IT students and the Hague University of Applied Sciences with the Information Security Management, Software Engineering, Business IT & Management and Innovative Development programmes are located in this former margarine factory.

The modern building is buzzing with energy because more than 300 IT professionals and 800 students work and study here. Through connecting entrepreneurs, education and research in one link, a breeding ground in the field of e-health & care, cyber security and big data is created.

The mutual contacts and collaboration ensure an inspiring work environment which boosts innovation.

The Dutch Tech Campus, centrally located in the Randstad along the A12 highway and at a stone’s throw from the Lansingerland Station, is a campus which accommodates international technology companies.

The complex spans 13 hectares with 10 buildings named after Dutch inventors. These buildings include both office space and high-quality company and production spaces with a total floor space of roughly 40.000 m2. We can further expand the Campus with some 40.000 m2.

Atos, the Hague University of Applied Sciences, the Zoetermeer municipality, InnovationQuarter and MRDH took the initiative for the Data Innovation Hub. A regional research centre for applied big data research in the field of e-health & care and digital security.

The initiative is now growing into a broad consortium of companies, education institutions and governments. Starting from an open innovation mind-set, the parties are striving towards knowledge development aimed at broad societal challenges. Visit the  website of Big Data Innovation Hub.

Submitting a research question

SMEs, governments and institutions within and outside of the region can turn to the Hub with their questions. Does your company or organisation have a research question regarding cyber security, e-health and care or mobility?  Do you want to test a concept?
